In addition to thousands of dollars of recording equipment, among the many items stolen were the recording masters for the upcoming albums of Twin Citiesbased band Kicks & Spurs and local singer/songwriter Brian DeRemer, both of which were being engineered by Lovold. Now Mr. Lovold and several of his musical friends are joining forces to raise funds to cover the costs of re-recording and releasing the two lost albums. In addition Kicks and Spurs, Brian DeRemer, and The Alarmists, the benefit will also feature White Light Riot, Chris Koza, a special DJ set by Solid Gold, and will be emceed by Barb Abney of 89.3 The Current. All net proceeds will benefit Eric Lovold, Brian DeRemer, and Kicks and Spurs with the costs associated with releasing and re-recording their lost albums. Instrument Control Studio is not benefitting from this concert event in any form financially. |
